- help you locate materials in the Library collection
- troubleshoot problems with remote access to our subscription resources
- make arrangements with Faculty to provide classroom instructions in Research

An email response will be sent within 24 hours during the business week, and within 48 hours on weekends.

The Saint Joseph's University community may make an appointment with a reference librarian for assistance with an extensive research project. The appointment may be in person or via telephone. Simply fill out our appointment form and a Reference staff member will contact you.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN (ILL)
Call or stop by the ILL office (located in the staff area on the first floor) when
- the staff at the Service Desk have told you that your Interlibrary loan request has not yet arrived, and you believe that it should be here
- you need to follow up on communication from the ILL department concerning a request that could not be filled, or will be delayed because of scarce availability
PERIODICALS
Journals, magazines and newspapers are available in several formats:

Electronic via the Internet
Microfilm and microfiche
- Print periodicals must be used in the building and there are several photocopiers where you can make copies of articles. The copiers are located near the Service Desk.
- Articles from microfilm, microfiche and electronic versions can be saved to a computer file or printed out.

ARCHIVES / SPECIAL COLLECTIONS
The Archives and Special Collections at Saint Joseph's University is responsible for the collection, maintenance, and preservation of all university materials in an effort to keep them as part of this institution's historical record.
Special Collections consists of a variety of rare and unique books. Most materials under the care of the unit are available for use within the library; however, some materials may require supervision by library personnel.
LIBRARY LIAISONS TO SJU ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS Academic Departments
The Library has a liaison program in place to facilitate communication between the Library and Faculty. Faculty members from a particular department are encouraged to contact the Librarian associated with that department.
