Compiled by the American Theological Library Association, ATLA Religion Database covers Biblical studies, world religions, church history, and religious perspectives on social issues. Topics include social sciences, history and humanities.

Archive consists of 5 books and an archive of three journals:
  • Biblical Archaeology Review
  • Bible Review
  • Archaeological Odyssey

  • Includes indexed citations to articles published in Roman Catholic periodicals, Papal documents, church promulgations, and books about the Catholic faith that are authored by Catholics and/or produced by Catholic publishers.

    Indexing and abstracts for journal articles, monographs, multi-author works, and software from over 450 journals is covered. All abstracts are in English, regardless of the language of the original work. Topics covered include antiquities, archaeology, biblical theology, philology and much more.

    Summaries of articles appearing
    in scholarly journals in the fields of Religion and Theology.

    A wide variety of periodical literature,
    including Christian, Jewish, and other World religions.

    English language abstracts of articles in English,
    Hebrew, Afrikaans, and major European languages.

    Scholarly essays are freely searchable, and available full-text in PDF format within the database.  The scope of the volumes ranges from, for instance, a Companion devoted to Reformation Theology in general to one discussing only a particular individual, such as Martin Luther. 

    This international resource provides indexing and author-written abstracts from books and journals of philosophy (over 480) in the 15 fields of philosophy and in related fields. Coverage includes the areas of ethics, aesthetics, social philosophy, political philosophy, epistemology, and metaphysic logic as well as material on the philosophy of law, religion, science, history, education, and language.

    Full-text and abstracts of millions of articles originally published in magazines, newspapers, and journals in all subject areas. The Humanities Module searches periodicals that include America ( A Jesuit Magazine), Bible Review, Buddhist - Christian Studies, The Catholic Biblical Quarterly, The Catholic Historical Review, Journal of Biblical Literature, and Journal of Theological Studies.

    Archive of 38 scholarly Religion journals as well as journals in Jewish Studies and Philosophy. Older volumes have been digitized, starting from the first issues and running up to 3 to 5 years ago; no current issues are available in JSTOR.

    A growing database of three kinds of Latin dictionaries: 
    • dictionaries to assist translation from Latin into modern languages
    • dictionaries providing semantic and etymological explanations in Latin of Latin words
    • historical Latin dictionaries. 

    Comprised of more than 2800 works of Christian Latin literature from over 860 authors. 

    Currently focused on the patristic and medieval periods, it will eventually encompass works from Antiquity and the early-modern and modern eras.

    Illustrated collection of more than 50,000 specially written biographies of the men and women who shaped all aspects of Britain's past, from the fourth century BC to the year 2001.
