Q. How do I Access the Library's Resources from Off-campus?

A.
  • The Library facilitates off-campus access by allowing currently registered SJU students, faculty, and staff to log in to our Proxy Server (we use EZproxy software). The Proxy Server in turn will allow the valid SJU users entry into the Library's restricted subscription services (those designated with our SJUlogo) from home, or work. Note that many of the Library's resources are not restricted, and can be accessed from anywhere without Proxy Server involvement.

  • The Library's Proxy Server now runs behind the scenes. There is no longer a need to go to the Library's home page to log in for Off-campus Access at the start of your research session. The software detects when you are off-campus and have requested a restricted resource and then triggers a login page. When the login page appears, enter your standard SJU account information. This is the same information you use for MySJU, e-mail, Windows login, and other technology resources on campus.

  • more information is available at the Off Campus Access FAQs.
