Curriculum Supervisor Certification
Curriculum supervisors are responsible for developing, implementing and assessing curriculum and instructional models in K-12 school environments to ensure academic success and compliance with state and federal regulations. Curriculum supervisors also have a responsibility to oversee the professional development of classroom teachers, instructional specialists and support personnel.
Saint Joseph’s educational leadership department has developed a program of study leading to licensure as a curriculum supervisor (K-12). This program is designed for individuals who are preparing for professional administrative positions in elementary, middle and high schools. The curriculum for this program integrates educational leadership, human resource development, law and instructional outcome courses to provide a comprehensive preparation to apply for Pennsylvania certification in this area.
The program may be combined with a M.S. in educational leadership or completed as a stand-alone certification. Instructional Level I or II certification is required for admission.
