Environmental Protection Safety Management Post-Baccalaureate and Post-Master's Certificate
The graduate post-baccalaureate and post-master’s certificate programs in environmental protection safety management respond to a continued demand for safe and healthy work environments. The focus of Saint Joseph’s environmental protection safety management program is the study and practice of protecting lives, property and the physical environment in our technologically sophisticated world. This program provides managerial skills necessary to deal with the growing scope, range and complexity of threats in the workplace, community and world.
The post-baccalaureate certificate is a six-course graduate-level program designed for individuals interested in beginning a defined program of study in this area.
The post-master’s program is designed for individuals who have earned a master’s degree in the field but who wish to extend their knowledge and skills beyond those acquired in the graduate program.
Post-Baccalaureate Certificate
Students who are interested in a post-baccalaureate certificate in environmental protection safety management must complete the following six courses for the certificate:
- Seminar: Environmental Protection Management
- Seminar: Disaster Planning and Management
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration
- Industrial Hygiene
- Risk Analysis
- Seminar: Environmental Crime
Students who register for the post-baccalaureate certificate program may transfer those courses to the applicable master’s degree program if they wish to pursue the graduate degree.
Post-Master’s Certificate
Students who already possess a master’s degree and complete six courses of study as determined through consultation with the program director will be awarded a post-master’s certificate in environmental protection safety management. The curriculum will be customized to the individual’s needs and courses will be selected with consideration for the professional and personal goals of the individual student. Students who complete the post-master's certificate program may apply those credit hours toward a master of science in environmental protection safety management.
