Gerontological Services Post-Master Certificate
Gerontology professionals who understand the changing needs of an aging population are in demand more than ever. Graduates of the Saint Joseph’s gerontological services and post-master’s certificate program have established successful careers in the field and hold positions in a variety of sectors including social service agencies, long-term care facilities and health management organizations.
The post-master’s certificate in gerontological services requires six courses or 18 credits and is designed for individuals who possess a master’s degree and wish to further extend or focus knowledge and skills in the field. The following courses are required for completion of the certificate:
- Pro-seminar in Gerontology I and II
- Delivery of Human Services to the Older Person
The remaining four courses may be tailored to a student’s professional interests in consultation with the gerontological services program director.
