School Nurse Certification
School nurses are critical to enhancing and leading the quality of school health programs and the health care delivery systems throughout school districts.
Saint Joseph's school nurse certificate program is a five-course (15-credit) program open to registered nurses who wish to specialize in the health care needs of children in a school environment.
Applicants must hold a current Pennsylvania licensure as a registered nurse and a bachelor of science in nursing. This program may also be combined with a master of science in health administration or health education. This program is offered under the direction of the graduate health services department in conjunction with the graduate education program.
Upon completion of the program a student may apply for the school nurse certificate through the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
