Supply Chain Procurement
Supply chain procurement is a skill that is in high demand and can itself be in short supply. Customers expect high quality, low prices, fast turnaround, and on-time delivery. Inventories, suppliers, rush orders, back orders — the dynamic nature of business in a fluctuating economy means the roles of supply chain managers and procurement specialists are vital to a business’s success.
The six-course program examines many issues related to supply management and develops the knowledge you need to successfully prepare for the Institute for Supply Chain Management's Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) examination series. After completing the certificate program, students will have the tools to operate confidently and effectively in today's global marketplace and optimize a company's success. Students will learn the components, the terminology and the concerns facing today’s businesses. They will then apply these concepts to practice using case studies and ethical problem solving scenarios.
The certificate program is beneficial to managers, supervisors or employees who may be charged with having a command of, evaluating, or improving an organization’s supply chain. The program prepares professionals with the legal, ethical and contractual considerations when managing risks and forming contingency plans. Saint Joseph’s prepares graduates for today’s market, equipping students with the skills to handle changes in the environment and ensure business continuity.
