"The chemistry major provides a rigorous education in chemical theory and experimentation combined with a hands-on approach to modern laboratory practices and instrumentation. SJU’s Summer Scholars Program engages students in research projects along side of our faculty. The program provides excellent preparation for graduate study not only in chemistry and related fields such as biochemistry, environmental science and materials science, but also prepares students whose interests lie in fields including medicine, secondary education, business and law."
