“The religious studies major is designed for those who wish to understand the core beliefs of the world’s great civilizations. Religion has played a central role throughout human history and still does today, shaping the ideas and values of people around the world in profound ways. Majors learn a wide range of methodological and theoretical approaches to the study of religion from faculty experts in Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Daoism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and other religious traditions. If you are interested in a program with a low student-faculty ratio, or want to take your critical thinking and writing skills to the advanced level, this is the major for you.”
