Students visited some of the most dynamic economies of the Pacific Rim : Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Singapore and examined firsthand the business practices, culture and trade issues in these countries. By meeting with the top executives at companies, such as Hewlett Packard, Burston Marsteller, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, etc., and by discovering the history of the countries through site seeing trips to the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, palaces, and temples, students developed a new awareness and appreciation for divergent economies and cultures.
