Dr. James Dougherty was Hawk Hill at its finest. His accomplishments and admirers stretch from here to eternity. Reading of his passing in SJU Magazine I was truly saddened, just like everyone else who ever knew him

Jim was the real deal who mixed easily with the high and mighty, all the while maintaining his bond with those of us who had to slug it out in the everyday trenches. Jim never forgot his roots nor his friends from long ago.
