‘Spring Fest’ Brings City Youths to SJU to Make Early College Connections

What: Saint Joseph’s University’s Ignatian College Connection (ICC) will bring 50 Philadelphia and Camden, N.J., high school students and their parents to campus for informative workshops offering pre-college guidance. Students will also play games for prizes and participate in raffles with current SJU ICC scholars. ICC programming is free, and helps students prepare for entrance to college beginning in their first year of high school.

Date: Saturday, May 22

Where: Games: Neumann Lawn, Saint Joseph’s University Campus City Avenue and Lapsley Lane, in front of the Science Center 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Workshops: Campion Student Center Located off City and Cardinal Avenues Forum Theatre, 10-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m. Sunrooms 1 and 2, 10-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.

Highlights: The following workshop are offered:

Learn About SJU: Parents and students can discover all that Saint Joseph’s has to offer.

Parent Connection: What parents need to know about college preparation (only offered at 10 a.m.)

Why ICC? Parents and students will learn the benefits of participation in ICC.

College Admissions: Parents and students learn about the process and timeline of being admitted to college.
