5th Annual 5k Race Raises Domestic Violence Awareness
University community remembers 2005 alumna Kristin Mitchell

Details: In memory of Kristin Mitchell ’05, an SJU alumna brutally murdered by her boyfriend just weeks after graduation, the annual 5k race raises money to support college campus programs that raise awareness of dating violence and unhealthy romantic relationships.
The Kristin Mitchell Foundation uses funds raised to award grants each year to local agencies dedicated to violence awareness education, and to offer a scholarship to one SJU undergraduate who best exemplifies Mitchell’s contributions to the University community.
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for an official Philadelphia Eagles jersey autographed by Jeremy Maclin.
