Princeton Review Names SJU ‘A Best in the Northeast’ College

PHILADELPHIA (August 24, 2010) - Saint Joseph’s University is one of the best colleges in the Northeast according to the nationally known education services company, The Princeton Review. It is one of 218 institutions The Princeton Review recommends in its "Best in the Northeast" section of its website feature, "2011 Best Colleges: Region by Region," that posted August 2, 2010 on PrincetonReview.com.

Haub School Offers New Course in Business Journalism

Adjunct professor and veteran business writer at The Philadelphia Inquirer Joseph N. DiStefano has developed such a course at Saint Joseph’s University.

SJU Ranked Again Among “America’s Best Colleges”

PHILADELPHIA (August, 17, 2010) - U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” 2011 edition has again ranked Saint Joseph’s University among the top 15 master’s universities in the north. The rankings, which were released on August 17, placed Saint Joseph’s at No. 13 among 179 institutions in its category, Best Regional Universities (North). It is the thirteenth consecutive year that SJU has been ranked in the top 15.

Professional and Liberal Studies Offers Autism Certificate

PHILADELPHIA (August 12, 2010) — Autism diagnoses are on the rise. One in 110 children has an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). With the growing diagnoses comes a growing need to understand and learn to assist this population. Saint Joseph's University's College of Professional and Liberal Studies in conjunction with the University’s Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support is offering a new certificate program for adult undergraduate students with an interest in Autism studies.

Everyday Materials, Unusual Couture

PHILADELPHIA (August 4, 2010) - This fall, fashion is given a new edge at Saint Joseph’s University’s Gallery, where award-winning sculptor C. Pazia Mannella’s fiber art sculptures will be shown from Aug. 30 to Sept. 23. Entitled “Conviction of Vanity,” the show features sculptures that can be worn on the body, mimicking high-end fashion and costuming. An artist’s reception will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, from 6 – 8 p.m.
