Students should use this time purposefully, he says, to "plant seeds" for their career search by deepening existing relationships and expanding their network with new contacts.

    PHILADELPHIA (November 29, 2011) – Several graduate programs within Saint Joseph’s University’s Haub School of Business have been included in the 2011 Eduniversal Ranking of the Best Masters and MBA Programs Worldwide.

    The University’s Master of Science in human resource management was included among the Top 200 programs; the Master of Science in business intelligence and the Master of Science in food marketing were included among the Top 50 programs worldwide.

    PHILADELPHIA (Nov. 23, 2011) - James Carter, Ph.D., professor of history and director of Saint Joseph's University's international relations program, has been chosen as the scholar-escort for a delegation of 11 senior U.S. Congressional staff members who will go to China for a week of site visits and meetings, Dec. 3-11. The trip, organized by the National Committee on United States-China Relations of New York, will include stops in Beijing, Tianjin and Xiamen.

    John Stanton, Ph.D., professor of food marketing, and his wife, Carol, believe in the power of education. The couple recently endowed the James J. Neville, S.J. scholarship for students in Saint Joseph's University's food marketing program. Valued at $50,000, this is the third scholarship supported by the Stantons since 2001.

    In support of their commitment to the identity of Saint Joseph’s University, the Office of Mission and the Library have joined together to purchase the Heritage Edition of the Saint John’s Bible, the first hand-written and illuminated bible to be commissioned in more than 500 years. The University will be the sole institution in the Philadelphia area to own this significant resource.

A Saint Joseph’s alumnus (’72) who currently serves as associate provost for University Centers of Excellence at Loyola University Chicago, he will be introduced to SJU students, faculty and staff at a special gathering of the campus community tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 11, at 11:30 a.m.

The intensive program is designed to develop professional accountants by giving students the knowledge and credits to successfully complete the CPA examination and round out their skill set.

    “Many consumers sincerely want to make a difference in the world through shopping,” he says. “Consumers like to give gifts that have a story about where the product came from, who made it and how the producer benefitted by selling the object.”

Saint Joseph’s University’s Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support will host a unique, one-day workshop designed to help parents and their teenagers with high-functioning autism, as well as professionals in the field, to be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Merion Hall.
