    Saint Joseph’s University is pleased to announce that 34 members of the Class of 2013 have chosen to engage in 11 full-time local, national and international service programs. Placements include the Peace Corps, the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and ACESJU, the Alliance for Catholic Education at Saint Joseph’s University. In addition, four alumni from earlier classes have enrolled in AmeriCorps’ Teach for America or ACESJU.

    PHILADELPHIA (July 9, 2013) - Saint Joseph’s University is implementing test-optional undergraduate admission, effective for fall 2014 applicants. Test-optional admission means that the University will not require applicants to submit a standardized test score (SAT/ACT) in order to be considered for admission if he/she does not believe they are an accurate indicator of their academic ability and potential for future academic success.

    PHILADELPHIA (June 28, 2013)—Saint Joseph’s University has elected new industry leaders to the Academy of Food Marketing’s Board of Governors. Judy Spires, the president and CEO of Kings Super Markets, has been elected chair. She will replace John Machuzick, an executive leader with General Mills. Spires was formerly the vice chair to the board. Michael Rothwell, the vice president and general manager of Pennington Quality Markets, has been elected vice chair/treasurer.
