PHILADELPHIA (Dec. 17, 2010) – In today’s complex global marketplace, businesses that consistently provide high quality, low prices, fast turnaround and on-time delivery survive the longest. Demand is high for professionals knowledgeable in the latest supply management tools and techniques.  At Saint Joseph’s University, the new Online Post-Baccalaureate Professional Certificate in Supply Chain-Procurement gives students and professionals a competitive advantage in meeting these rising expectations.

Enrollees take six courses in topics such as supply chain purchasing and administration, contract law and development, risk management, global supply management, logistics, strategic concepts and techniques, and distribution. Each course is designed specifically for organization leaders, supply chain managers, job and promotion candidates and those seeking a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) credential. After completing the program, participants will have acquired the skills and knowledge needed to successfully complete the Institute for Supply Management CPSM exam.

"The new online certificate provides a convenient option for the professional looking to advance in the supply chain and procurement field," says Judy Gallagher, M.Ed., associate dean of SJU’s College of Professional and Liberal Studies (PLS). “The quality of the course content and the accessibility of the online format gives students the tools to succeed in the field and on the CPSM exam.”

The Supply Chain-Procurement program is offered online-only through SJU’s College of Professional and Liberal Studies. Further information can be found on the program website or by contacting PLS at pls@sju.edu or 877-NITE-SJU.
