PHILADELPHIA (Feb. 5, 2014) —TheBestSchools.org recently acknowledged Saint Joseph’s University’s Online Masters in Science of Organization Development and Leadership (MODL) as one of the top programs in its category. The fully online format for this program launched four years ago, and was recognized for academic excellence, course offerings and return on investment. SJU ranked fifth out of 20 highlighted schools.

"I am very proud to receive this ranking after such a short time online,” says Program Director Felice Tilin, Ph.D. “We worked hard to develop a program that is distinctive in the online realm using a unique experiential learning methodology designed for students to immediately apply what they learn to their work environments. I believe that the criteria of academic excellence and return on investment ranked high for SJU due to the team of esteemed part-time and visiting professors who dedicate themselves to educating, coaching and championing every single student in the program."

According to the Journal of Leadership Studies, organization leadership is one of the fastest-growing academic fields in higher education. SJU’s 36-credit-hour Online MODL program combines online courses and facilitative leadership clinics along with other meetings with professors and classmates. Most of the students are adult professionals who work full time, and they connect course work and real-world experiences with their respective careers. In two years or less, candidates graduate with a certificate or a master’s degree, along with the understanding and ability to initiate change, becoming leaders within their organizations.

With over two million hits a year, TheBestSchools.org informs prospective students about university and college programs. Learn more about the Online MODL ranking.
