They compete against local city teams like UPenn and Drexel and more distant teams like Yale, Princeton, Atlantic County Community College, etc. They play in local tournaments as well, and will possibly be joining the East Coast Women's Club Basketball League that runs in the fall semester. Practice is typically twice a week, plus one game. The team is designed to be disciplined and competitive, but the girls have a lot of fun and bond. The club is looking for committed girls who have basketball experience and want to play to win, while enjoying the ride along the way.

Golf, Women's

The women's golf club is for students who have played in the past who are looking to play recreationally in college. This is the first year as an organized club team so many aspects of the club are still in the works. With the goal of turning Division 1, the club is trying to organize mini-championships and outings within the club itself. Unfortunately, there are no other local teams for us to currently compete against, but there are other schools that are also in the process of forming teams. Practice is on your own time, but it is required that members go and play once a week. There are meetings throughout the semester that help to organize and advance the team. The club is looking for girls who have the ambition and dedication to play on a school team.

The team competes mainly against other local area teams, such as Temple, Drexel, UPenn, and Villanova. They try to be competitive while at the same time keeping things fun. This is their first full year in existence and they look to continue to build the club program and become more competitive. Anyone with or without prior experience is welcomed to inquire into playing. Practices are held sporadically in the fall and will participate in future fall tournaments, but the main season is in the spring where we play 10-12 games and possibly playoffs.

Within this region there are six divisions Central, East, North, West, Northeast, and Non-Conference Opponents. SJU is currently in the East division along with other schools such as Villanova, Drexel, and Temple to name a few. Last year we had one of our most successful seasons ever, we made the quarter finals of the MACVC championship tournament and we finished second in the East. We are a very competitive, small team, always trying to become better. In the future we hope to become one of the more competitively strong team known throughout our Eastern division.
