Haub School Programs Among U.S. News ‘Best’

PHILADELPHIA (August 28, 2009) – The undergraduate business program at Saint Joseph’s University was included in "U.S.News & World Report America's Best Colleges 2010." The magazine also ranked the University’s marketing program among the nation’s best. This achievement is a first for both Erivan K. Haub School of Business programs.

PHILADELPHIA (August 27, 2009) – On Saturday, Aug. 29, Saint Joseph’s University will welcome its newest residents into campus housing – the class of 2013.

Saint Joseph’s incoming class, which is made up of students born around 1991, is a diverse group of young adults representing 25 states and seven countries.


Out of Destruction, Creation: ‘MorningStar’ at SJU Gallery

PHILADELPHIA (August 25, 2009) –  “MorningStar,” an exhibit of burnt wood sculpture and India ink drawings by Alison Stigora, will open the 2009-10 season at Saint Joseph’s University Gallery. The exhibit will be on display from Monday, Aug. 31 to Friday, Sept. 25. An artist’s reception will be held on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 6-8 p.m.


SJU Again Ranked High in 'U.S. News'

PHILADELPHIA (August 13, 2009) – The "America's Best Colleges" 2010 edition of U.S. News & World Report has ranked Saint Joseph's University among the top 15 master's universities in the north for the 12th consecutive year. The rankings, released on August 20, placed Saint Joseph's at No. 10 in its category, Best Universities-Master's (North). SJU was No. 8 in 2009, but has seen its ranking fluctuate regularly between Nos. 8-10 over the past six years.

A Saint Joseph&rsquo;s alumnus (&rsquo;72) who currently serves as associate provost for University Centers of Excellence at Loyola University Chicago, he will be introduced to SJU students, faculty and staff at a special gathering of the campus community tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 11, at 11:30 a.m.

Foley Campus Center, located on the University&rsquo;s Maguire Campus.</p>


Conference to Address Issues Affecting Women of Color

<p>In collaboration with the Office of Institutional Diversity, SJU Women of Color Planning Committee and the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc; Omega Omega Chapter, Saint Joseph&rsquo;s will host a conference to address issues impacting women of color in the community. The conference, which will feature speakers from various cultural and professional backgrounds, will be held on Saturday, March 17, beginning at 9 a.m.


Students Named Finalists In Delaware Valley Essay Competition

<p>Three Haub School of Business students were finalists in the Delaware Valley Risk Management and Insurance Society&rsquo;s (RIMS) annual college essay competition hosted by Saint Joseph&#39;s University on March 20. Leonard Markert &rsquo;12 and Brian Allen &rsquo;12 placed third in the competition, and Jill Feeney &rsquo;12 placed first in the regional essay competition, earning a $1,000 scholarship.</p>
