Delphyodontos dacriformes

Delphyodontos

The first finds of this small fish appear to be aborted fetuses and newly hatched individuals. The specimen above shows the jagged tooth whorls, distended abdomen and fecal mass that suggest intrauterine feeding.  Their anatomy and relationships are being re-evaluated on the basis of more, and larger individuals of both sexes.
