Fossil Plants
Many algal forms are preserved: floating fine filamentous algae, bladed forms (See McRoberts and Stanley, 1989), spherical forms, sea lettuce-like algae, calcareous and non-calcareous dasyclad algae (unnamed dasyclad and Halimeda), and other, less abundant forms. Spiny productid brachiopods are commonly found in the fine filamentous algae.
