PRIDE Organizational Meeting. Tuesday, September 4 from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. LaFarge Lounge. Lunch will be served. This gathering is open to any male student at Saint Joseph's who wants to join PRIDE (People of Respect and Intelligence Developing Excellence), a men's group focused on academic, leadership, social, spiritual and career excellence.

The Sociology of Hip-Hop. Monday, October 8 at 6:00 p.m. Wynnewood Lounge. Presented by Dr. Susan Clampet-Lundquist, Sociology Department. Dr. Clampet-Lundquist will explore the sociological context which gave rise to the popularity and the creation of hip-hop music. Samples of songs and clips from documentaries will complement this program, illustrating hip-hop's origin from clubs to is rise to one of music's most popular genres. Audience participation, perspectives and questions are encouraged, so bring your curiosities and your appetite, as a pizza dinner will accompany this event.
