The Office of Residence Life is composed of a dynamic group of talented individuals who work together towards the common goal of providing a rewarding experience for the students living within Saint Joseph's University’s residence halls. Our professional staff includes not only our central office team, but also residence Area Coordinator, RAs and Jesuits/Faculty in residence, who live and work in each of our residence halls.

Area Coordinators
Area Coordinators (ACs) are full time professional staff members that live and work in the Residence Halls. They are responsible for the day to day operations of the Halls and Houses to which they are assigned, including providing support services directly to students, supervising Resident Assistants (RAs), overseeing all educational, social, operational activities, and adjudicating student discipline cases. The Area Coordinators are a wonderful resource to assist First year students as they transition into their first year at SJU.
Resident Assistants
Resident Assistants are full-time students who live in the residence halls and are responsible for a particular floor or house of residents. They provide support, act as a resource for students, coordinate social and educational programs, and work with one another as a staff to enforce university policy within the halls. Most importantly, Resident Assistants serve as peers who are there to assist students during their transition to SJU.
Jesuits and Faculty in Residence
Several Jesuits and faculty reside in the residence halls with students, either as a general presence to assist with students’ academic and personal formation or to enhance an Academic Housing Option.  Jesuit Heritage

We are fortunate to have Jesuit priests live in many of our residence halls. These Jesuits are available for counseling and various issues that may arise in your life.

As a Jesuit school, the University is proud of its Ignatian (Jesuit) heritage. The University works hard to promote this heritage in all areas of University life. Spiritually, the Jesuits in Residence offer a resource right in the residence halls.
