At the Major Expo, faculty and student representatives will be available to answer your questions regarding majors, minors, and opportunities following graduation. Confused about what to ask? Here are some sample questions to help you in your preparation for the Major Expo.
- What are the required courses for this major/minor? What are the classes like? What are the class sizes?
- What is the faculty to student ratio?
- Do you require a minimum GPA to get into this major?
- Are some classes in your department open to non-majors so that I can explore this area of study?
- How are advisors assigned in this department?
- Are there active academic clubs/professional societies associated with your major/minor?
- Does this program require/allow internships for credit? What types of internships have students pursued?
