1. What forms are required to be eligible for Financial Aid?

Students are recommended to complete the FAFSA application each academic year. No additional SJU institutional financial aid forms are required for full-time undergraduate students.

4. What is the deadline for filing the FAFSA for returning students?

The preferred filing deadline for returning students is APRIL 15.
Pennsylvania residents are required to file by May 1 for Pennsylvania State Grant Fund eligibility.

5. When will I receive my financial aid package?

Returning students who filed the FAFSA by the preferred filing deadline of April 15, will receive financial aid packages in late June.

6. Should I send tax documents to the Office of Financial Assistance?

No. Only students selected for the verification process will be notified on their Award Acknowledgment Form to return copies of tax documents.

7. May I fax the signed and completed Award Acknowledgment Form to the Office of Financial Assistance?

Students may fax the signed AAF to 610-660-1342. It is not necessary to mail and fax the completed AAF.

8. After I am hired, how do I receive payment for my work study position?

The student will receive a paycheck from the University every two weeks. This will be directly deposited into a personal checking or savings account designated by the student.

9. Why is my PHEAA State Grant not appearing on my invoice?

PHEAA State Grants will be credited to accounts the first week of classes. Please refer to the back of your invoice for instructions on pending aid.

10. What do I do if I receive my award letter with not enough time to return it in a 10 day period?

Due to some delays in Postal Delivery you may not receive your award letter in time to comply with the 10 day return request. Please return your completed award letter as soon as possible after you receive it to avoid delays in processing.

11.  What is the tuition, room and board at Saint Joseph's University?

Tuition for the 2009-2010 academic year is $33,940. Room and board is approximately $11,800. These fees do not include student fees associated with specific majors or residence halls.
