Financial Assistance for Advanced Degrees

Saint Joseph’s University is committed to providing information and resources to assist you in meeting the costs of a University education. The options listed here include need- and non-need-based loans and other tuition financing options. Students are encouraged to review the options below to determine which are best suited for their specific needs.

Graduate students to Saint Joseph’s University requiring financial aid must apply for financial aid each year.

Annual Graduate Student Financial Aid Requirements

  • Each year, students must file the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by July 1 (if starting in the fall) or November 15 (if starting in the spring).
  • Each student must submit the Institutional Financial Aid Application to the Office of Financial Assistance indicating anticipated enrollment and funding request.
  • If you are selected for verification (indicated on your Student Aid Report (SAR)), you must submit the following information to the Office of Financial Assistance:

    1) The Independent Verification Form
    2) Copy of student (and spouse) signed 2008 federal tax return
    3) Copies of student (and spouse) W2s

  • First-time borrowers must complete an entrance interview prior to receiving financial aid.
