To help incoming students afford the cost of a Saint Joseph´s University education, we are pleased to be able to offer several financing options for students and their families such as need- and non-need-based loans and other tuition payment options.
Financial Aid Information You Need To Know
- The only financial assistance form required at Saint Joseph´s University is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- The FAFSA can be completed at www.fafsa.ed.gov after January 1.
- Saint Joseph's University federal school code for the FAFSA is 003367.
- Saint Joseph's University preferred filing date for the FAFSA is February 15.
- No additional state grant applications are required for Pennsylvania residents. However, a FAFSA must be filed by May 1.
- Out-of-state residents should check with their state’s higher education agency for additional state grant deadlines and/or applications.
- Financial aid packages will be mailed mid-March only to FAFSA filers.
- Admitted students who have filed a FAFSA and have not received a financial aid package by April 15, should contact the Office of Financial Assistance at 610.660.1555.
- Tax documents should only be submitted if you are selected for federal verification. If selected, a list of required documents will appear on your Award Acknowledgement Form.
- For financial aid to be processed, check the “accept” box, sign, and return the Award Acknowledgement Form directly to the Office of Financial Assistance with all requested paperwork.
- If planning to borrow a Plus Loan, the parent borrower must complete the information in the space provided on the Award Acknowledgement Form.
- If you do not need the full suggested loan amount, please indicate the reduced amount you wish to borrow directly on the Award Acknowledgement Form.
- Please notify the Office of Financial Assistance if receiving any outside scholarships, as your financial aid may need to be adjusted.
- All new borrowers must complete an entrance interview prior to loan disbursement.
