The Information Systems Department supports the Enterprise Resource Planning systems for the University. Information Systems implements and maintains the Banner administrative software which is a fully integrated, Oracle-based suite of applications. The Banner software is used to support student admissions, registration, academic advisement, grading, housing, account receivable, financial aid, finance, purchasing, accounts payable, alumni/development and human resources. In addition, Information Systems delivers web-based self service application for students, faculty and staff via the MySJU information portal. Information Systems has developed applications to supplement the Banner suite including web-based housing selection, parking and decal tracking, discipline tracking and other systems. The department also provides training and assistance to its clients.

The Data Center is a unit of the Information Technology Office. We provide production support for Banner printing and report generation. Through requests issued by authorized Banner security officers, we grant access to users to the University's Banner system. We maintain the physical room that is the data center. We serve as first line support for any campus card machines located in University buildings.
