Policies

Acceptable Usage Policy

The University's policy on the acceptable use of computing resources. All users of the University's technology resources must abide by this policy in order to continue usage and avoiding disciplinary action, which could include monetary fines and expulsion of students.

Guidelines for Mass E-mail Communication

The intent of this document is to establish guidelines for the appropriate use of mass email communication. Over the past several years, with the exponential growth in email usage, aliases have been used for various purposes and have generated a considerable number of messages sent to superfluous populations of the University. Some community members have expressed displeasure with the volume of mass email messages and the marginal value of much of the correspondence. Thus, the Office of Information Technology has been charged by the President's Cabinet with establishing guidelines for use of the University's mass email capabilities.

Instructional Technology and Distributed Learning Policies

Guidelines and policies regarding the ordering and usage of classroom technology equipment provided by ITDL.

Computer Replacement Program

The Computer Replacement Program governs the purchase, replacement, and disposal of University-owned personal computer systems (“PCS”). The pProgram will ensure that faculty, staff and students (via labs and classrooms) have adequate, up-to-date computing resources and that these resources will be replenished on a predictable, recurring schedule.

Password Management Policy

The purpose of this document is to establish guidelines for password management of University computer accounts by faculty, students and employees.
