Information Technology Service Catalog

The Office of Information Technology provides the following technology services to the students, faculty, and staff of Saint Joseph's University.

Banner, SJU's business enterprise information system is offered through the Information Systems group, who is responsible for major line-of-business systems including payroll, budget, financial, and student systems, as well as the enterprise data warehouse and decision support systems.

Classroom Support

Support of technology used in the University's classrooms, such as podium computers and projection systems, is provided by the the Office of Information Technology. Place an order for this equipment online using our Equipment Request Form.

Computer Facilities

The Office of Information Technology manages the public computer labs and classrooms across campus as well as provides support to departmental labs and classrooms.

Electronic Collaboration

Access to electronic collaboration (e-mail, calendar, contacts) is provided by the Office of Information Technology the Zimbra Collaboration Suite for faculty and staff, and the MySJU portal for student.

Hardware & Software

Mac and Windows-based hardware and software support is provided for all University-owned personal computer system.

Instructional Technology

Assistance with the use of technology to support instruction, particularly through the use of Blackboard, is provided by the Instructional Technology and Distributed Learning group.

MySJU

The University's information portal, MySJU, is managed by the Office of Information Technology.

Network Access

Wired and wireless access to the University-wide network, with high-speed access to the Internet, is provided to all University students, faculty, and staff.

Purchasing

Departmental purchasing of technology products is provided by the Office of Information Technology.

Security/Virus Protection

The Office of Information Technology provides anti-virus software to all University students, faculty, and staff and is responsible for ensure the safety and security of all information stored on the University network.

Telephones

Telephone service, both landline and cellular, are provided by the Telecommunications group.

Training

Technology Training is provided to University personnel on standard applications used by the community, such as Microsoft OfficeSuite and Zimbra, as well as other topics as requested by faculty and staff.

Web Services

Web development, hosting, and general support is provided through Web Services.
