CURRENT HOT TOPICS FOR THE SSC:
BILLS - Fall and Spring updated bills are posted weekly on accounts through the week of the tuition due date each semester and monthly thereafter. Summer bills are posted weekly due to the shortened semester. In between, please check your MySJU account to see your updated charges and payments.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS WANTING FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INFORMATION - Students who are relying on others to assist them in monitoring and/or paying their tuition account should assign them as a "user" in their E-bill portal (in MySJU - "Student Bill", "My Profile", "Shared Access", "Add Shared Access"). In addition to allowing "users" to view and pay bills, this feature also enables the "user" to receive email notifications when an E-bill has been posted, when the tuition date is approaching, etc. Students can assign multiple users to their tuition account and all payment information is kept confidential to each person (students cannot access their "users" banking information and "users" cannot access each other's or the student's banking information). Parents who have already been assigned access, please click here to access to the ebill users portal.
REFUNDS - Refunding of credit balances from federal aid will begin after the conclusion of the add/drop period each semester. Refunds are processed once a week. When your account balance turns to $0 your refund has been processed by the Student Service Center. It will then be processed by Finance within 2 business days. If you have direct deposit, you will receive an email notification once this is done. If you are not enrolled in direct deposit, a paper check will be mailed to your permanent address on file the following week. We highly encourage all students to enroll in direct deposit through MySJU, as this will aid you in getting your refund faster. If your bank is not listed in the drop down in the direct deposit set up, please scan a copy of a voided check to stupay@sju.edu or mail a voided check to Student Service Center, Attn: Direct Deposit, 5600 City Avenue, Barbelin 121, Philadelphia, PA 19131.
TOP TIPS FOR SUCCESSFULLY MANAGING YOUR STUDENT ACCOUNT:
1. Check your tuition account in MySJU to make sure your balance is paid prior to registration (remember - if your tuition account is not in good standing you will not be able to register).
2. Check your account for others holds (library fines, see advisor, etc.) that may prevent registration.
3. Assign your parents access to your e-bill account (they can receive notification that a bill is available as well as view and pay it). This does not give them access to your grades and personal information - only your bill! Parents - click here to log-in to the users access portal!
4. Sign up for direct deposit through MySJU before the spring semester so you will receive your refund faster!
5. Review this web site or stop by the Student Service Center (Barbelin 121) prior to registration with any questions about your account!
