SJU RECEIVES TWO $10M ALUMNI GIFTS
Alumni and Trustees, James J. Maguire '58 and Brian Duperreault '69, have each donated $10 million to Saint Joseph's to help fund the purchase of Episcopal Academy's Merion campus. These gifts are the largest individual alumni gifts in Saint Joseph's history.
Maguire, a former Board of Trustees member and chairman and founder of Philadelphia Consolidated Holding Corporation, made his gift last September. In honor of his contribution, the campus will be renamed the James J. Maguire '58 Campus once the University occupies it.
Duperreault is a current Board of Trustees member and chairman, president, and CEO of ACE Limited. Duperreault, whose gift was announced this past February, will be honored by the University with a future naming opportunity.
