2008 Research Symposium
Welcome to the web site for the 19th Annual Saint Joseph's University Sigma Xi Student Research Symposium. The meeting will take place on Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Saint Joseph’s University campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Symposium is open to both undergraduate and graduate students engaged in research in the areas of Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, the Natural and the Social Sciences. Please note that for this year’s meeting, all student presentations will be in poster form (see the Presentation Information page for more information). More details about the Symposium will be posted shortly.
The deadline for registration and submission of abstracts is Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 5:00 pm EST. Please note that all participating faculty and students must individually complete a registration form to attend the meeting. Please use the "Symposium Registration" link on the left side of this page to do so. The registration fee for the symposium is $25 per person and the fee to attend the dinner is an additional $15 per person. Payment information is included in the on-line registration system. Payment may be made by mail (for checks) in which case the envelope must be postmarked no later than March 26. This year’s Keynote Speaker is Prof. Jerry Gollub from Haverford College. Keynote address is free and open to public.
