Deadlines:

Room Rates
The deadline for reserving rooms at the Holiday Inn – City Avenue (215-477-0200) at the conference rate of $89 per night is March 22 at noon. After that time any remaining rooms will only be available at the regular rates. There are no conference rates available for rooms at other area hotels.

Abstract Submission
The deadline for registration and submission of abstracts is Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 5:00 pm EST. You must register and submit an abstract by this deadline whether you are presenting a poster or giving a talk (platform presentation). You can register and submit your abstract here.

Powerpoint Submission
For students giving talks (platform presentations) the deadline for submission of power point presentations is Wednesday, April 19 at 5:00 pm (EST). See “Power Point Guidelines” on the “Presentation Information” page. All power point presentations at the conference MUST BE SUBMITTED. You may NOT bring your powerpoint presentation with you. There will be no exceptions to this rule. The purpose of this rule is to have all the power point presentations put on a laptop computer days ahead of time and our personnel will queue the correct presentation at the appropriate time. In other words, we do not want any ‘downtime’ during the sessions so they go smoothly. If sessions become delayed, the students toward the end of the session are the most penalized. We will avoid this potential problem by having power point presentations ready before April 22, 2006. Full-length Paper Submission
Students are encouraged to submit full-length papers of their research for judging. All full-length papers must be in 'manuscript form', the form that manuscripts are in as if they are submitted to a scientific journal. Students are encouraged to have their faculty mentor(s) help to get the paper in manuscript form. All full-length papers must be sent independently of all other materials (except other full-length papers) to Dr. Michael McCann at Saint Joseph’s University. Papers may be submitted electronically as Adobe PDF files; if you are a presenting author, click here to use the on-line registration system to upload your PowerPoint file or via mail. If papers are sent by courier, the street address is: Dr. Mike McCann, Department of Biology, Saint Joseph’s University, 5600 City Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131- telephone 610-660-1823 (some couriers require a telephone number). In all cases, the paper must be received by Dr. McCann no later than the close of business (5:00 est) on Wednesday, March 22. Each paper must have the e-mail address of the first author on the title page. Receipt of the full-length papers will be acknowledged via e-mail.
