Dr. Richard George
I will be continuing/expanding on my research on Generation Y (Millennials) in terms of their attitudes and preferences toward food, food retailing and food service.
In particular I will be studying the following:
1. What are Generation Y's attitudes towards food?
2. What are Generation Y's attitudes towards food retailing?
3. What are Generation Y's attitudes toward food service/restaurants?
4. Where do members of Generation Y they shop for/acquire food?
5. As the "wired" generation, does this suggest that Gen Y will buy food
(groceries/meals) on line?
Dr. Neal Hooker
Current research projects are exploring: the effectiveness of various forms of food safety and nutrition policy; food innovation strategies; adoption of quality management and certification systems such as GAPs; the E-Business practices of food retailers; marketing strategies of functional; organic and fair trade foods; and the business implications of food recalls.
Dr. Marty Meloche
My primary interests are resource allocation and its effect on domestic and global hunger, sustainable food, locally grown, and development of retail models for food cupboards.
