2009 Summer Scholars Program

2009 Volunteer Faculty Mentors

Dr. Fillebrown & student

For 2009, faculty from most of the departments in both CA&S and HSB have volunteered to serve as mentors for students in the Summer Scholars Program. The list of faculty mentors is divided by department at the bottom of this page. Where possible, the mentors have provided a brief description of possible projects. Please keep in mind that while these individuals have volunteered to serve as mentors, there is no guarantee of support for any student and you should not assume that you will have a position in the 2009 summer program.

Use this list to try and identify faculty who are conducting scholarly work in an area that interests you. It need NOT be in your major or even in your college. Before applying for a position in the program you must meet with your prospective faculty mentor and discuss possible projects. Only if they agree to work with you can you then begin the process of preparing your proposal. One of the two required letters of recommendation must come from the prospective faculty mentor.
