Calling all SJU students interested in Habitat for Humanity! |

SJU Collegiate Challenge is a Habitat for Humanity summer service immersion program. Groups of about 18 students will volunteer their time and energy to travel to Habitat affiliates throughout the United States. There, they participate in week-long building activities provided by their host site and learn about the culture and geography of the area in which they are immersed. WHY Collegiate Challenge? Nationwide there are more than 30 million Americans living in substandard housing. As a Catholic and Jesuit University, we called to be "men and women for others," committed to using our talents and abilities in service of others. Students are often amazed by the closeness of a group at the end of the trip. After a week of learning new skills and working hard alongside other students, you'll find closeness between yourself and the other participants that can only be forged in the process of working together to help others. Participation in a Collegiate Challenge service trip is open to everyone who would like to dedicate a week of their summer to helping build housing with those in need, while having a great time doing it.
