USS Misson:
The University Student Senate maintains a proud tradition acting as the foremost student organization at Saint Joseph 's University. Along with providing comprehensive representation of the views and opinions of the student body, the USS attempts to coordinate the efforts of the multitude of student organizations at the University. Acting as a conduit between the students, faculty, staff and administration, the USS strongly and fervently advocates the sentiment and interests of the students in both University and community affairs. The USS strives to represent and engage undergraduate students in the matters of communication and public relations, campus life and administrative services, student life, academic affairs, the management of student organizations’ budgets, mission and related financial affairs. Above all else, the guiding principles of the University Student Senate attempt to parallel the mission of Saint Joseph's University while incorporating the mission and ideology set forth by the Society of Jesus and St. Ignatius of Loyola.
USS Vision:
Ultimately, the University Student Senate seeks to be recognized as the organization primarily responsible for comprehensive student representation spanning across all facets of student life. As we work towards this goal, our endeavors will be even more purposeful, visible, and forward-focused leaving an indelible and lasting mark for the University as a whole.
