ATTENTION SIP ALUMNI: There will be a cocktail hour from 4pm to 6pm in Wolfington Hall on Dec. 2 to honor the alumni of the Summer Immersion Programs directly before the auction begins. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to reunite with former teammates while supporting current students as they prepare for a life-changing experience. Please RSVP to the cocktail hour by emailing the SIP leaders at sip.sju@gmail.com.
What is the Summer Immersion Programs (SIP) Auction?
In the summer of 2010, over 80 Saint Joseph’s University students will travel to Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, and New Mexico to experience the beauty, joys, struggles, and challenges that can be found within the local communities. These trips embody the university’s mission to prepare “men and women with and for others.” The annual fundraising goal for these life-changing immersion trips is approximately $70,000. One of the ways that we are able to reach this goal is through the Summer Immersion Programs Auction. The SIP Auction, formerly known as the Project Mexico Auction, has been a beloved annual event for the past fifteen years, uniting students, faculty, staff, families, alumni, and community members with an evening of fun. The evening includes food, information about the trips, and both a silent and live auction.
