The Counseling Center: 610-660-1090
The Counseling Center offers a safe atmosphere where personal concerns can be openly explored and discussed with a professionally trained psychologist. Counseling services are voluntary, confidential and free-of-charge. All staff members are trained professionals who can help to provide support and guidance. Appointments can be scheduled Monday-Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm
In the event of a personal emergency during normal working hours, you may call the Counseling Center at 610-660-1090 or come in person to A504 Merion Gardens. (Daily between the hours of 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, you may also visit the Walk-In Center in 54 LaFarge Hall). After hours, you may call Security at 610-660-1111.
REPP (Rape Education and Prevention Program): 610-733-9650
R.E.P.P. is a group of women who have undergone intensive training as rape crisis counselors. They are concerned volunteers who have been trained to counsel survivors of violence and their friends and relatives. They are organized to help women and men who have experienced sexual assault, physical/ emotional abuse or are impacted by their friend’s or loved one’s experiences. R.E.P.P. is available to support students, faculty and staff of SJU. R.E.P.P. is available 24 hours a day. All calls are handled anonymously. All information is confidential.
If you are not in crisis but want to schedule a presentation with REPP, have questions about physical or emotional abuse, have been impacted by another’s experience of sexual assault or abuse or just want general information, please call 610-733-9650.
