The Community Service RLC is designed to provide first year students with a quick introduction to community service SJU style! This RLC assists students in connecting with others interested in community service and service learning and provides students with events, programs, and opportunities to begin or continue a commitment to service while at Saint Joseph's University. Students living in this RLC will have the opportunity to participate in group community service events and will be introduced to some local non-profits and service agencies. Additionally, students will be exposed to many service opportunities on campus both for one time service as well as extended service opportuities. The Community Service RLC is housed in LaFarge Residence Center.

I really enjoyed being the RLC RA this semester and look forward to doing it again. I saw what worked well and what didn’t and feel that I can make next year even better.
Why should someone apply to the RLC?
Because it is really fun! You learn a lot and develop lasting friendships. You also learn community resources and make connections, both at SJU and in Philly.
