The Science RLC attracts and supports science majors who seek a community with a common academic interest, a collective respect for individual study habits and an understanding of the benefit of collaborative study. This housing option provides student and faculty interactions through academic, programmatic and experiential opportunities, and supports students who are preparing for post-graduate work in medicine, dentistry, health care, teaching or research. This housing option has the added benefit of a faculty member who lives on the Science hall and provides individual tutoring, support and advising to science majors. Students that participate in the BEAGLE Program are automatically placed in the Science RLC The Science RLC is housed in LaFarge Residence Center.

Why are you excited to be the RLC RA?
I lived in RLCs for the last two years (Emerging Leaders and Romero) and very much enjoyed the community and events. I am excited to be in a position in which I can help to lead a group of students with a common interest in the sciences in events and in a learning-oriented environment.
Why should someone apply to the RLC?
The first experience in college for a student is the residential experience. Living in a community in which everyone has at least one common interest allows students to comfortably build relationships on the floor.

Why are you excited to be the RLC RA?
I lived on the Science RLC my freshman year and I absolutely loved it! I was able to meet so many people with similar interests. Through the RLC, I was able to make the most of my first year here at SJU and I want to help make your first-year experience amazing.

The Science RLC offers you the opportunity to live and interact with students of similar major and interests. Also, the RLC allows you to network within the science departments here at SJU to make the most of your major here at SJU.
