History will be made in Boston this summer. You are invited to be a
part of it. Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts offers
students a unique opportunity to learn about -- and experience --
presidential politics during the Democratic National Convention in
Boston. Earn college credits while participating in a pivotal event
in American politics.
Students have the option of living on Lesley's campus located steps
away from Harvard Square. Two interdisciplinary seminars will be
offered. The first will analyze the Democratic National Convention
from different perspectives, as a political event and as a media
event. Students will experience the convention first-hand, as
participant observers, through internships involved in the planning
and running of the convention. Guest speakers individuals in
leadership positions with the convention, from the media and national
political stage will provide a hands-on perspective. The second
course will examine the different cultures and traditions of Boston,
exploring the people and neighborhoods of one of the world's most
dynamic and politically rich urban centers. Each course carries 3
undergraduate or graduate credits.
Course dates: June 8 - August 5
Tuition and Fees: $350/credit
Housing (optional) for nine weeks: $1,400

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is the political voice of the national environmental movement and the only organization devoted full-time to shaping a pro-environment White House and Congress. We are looking for students who want to work with us to make sure an environmentally conscious, democratic president is elected in November.
George W. Bush has compiled the worst environmental record in our lifetime and is in fact the only president to ever receive a failing grade on our Presidential Report Card. Our website, , details many of the Bush Administration’s relentless rollbacks of environmental protections.
We need your help. If you are interested in volunteering on your campus or interning with us this summer or fall, please contact me Maria Placht either by email (maria_placht@lcv.org) or 202-454-4616, where I am available during most business hours. I would be happy to answer any of your questions and look forward to hearing from you.
