When Sequoia Collier-Hezel ’15 heard about ArtBattles U, a New York organization that gives college students the opportunity to show off their talents in a public setting, he immediately applied to enter the competition. ArtBattles U pits four artist-students against each other in a Live Art Battle as they create original pieces in front of an audience.
PHILADELPHIA (April 5, 2013) – Four senior artists will display their work in the 14th annual senior art thesis exhibition at Saint Joseph’s University Gallery, April 12-May 31. The art will be shown on the second floor of Merion Hall on the James J. Maguire ’58 Campus. An opening reception will be held Friday, April 12th 5-9 p.m.
On Friday, Nov 30, Carmen Croce, director of the Scholarly Press and Curator of the University Art Collection, will give a brief presentation on the latest exhibit on display at the Post Learning Commons of Drexel Library. The presentation will begin at noon in the Wachterhauser Seminar Room, 2nd floor Post Learning Commons, and a light lunch will be served afterwards.

PHILADELPHIA (August 28, 2012) - The creatures that populate Kaitlyn Coppola's ceramic sculptures twist and turn and pile up on one another in an explosion of ambiguity. The fantasy figures in "Kinde," which could be animals in distress, trapped by their partner's limbs, or could be mutants comforted by their intertwined connection, will be exhibited at Saint Joseph's University's Boland Hall Gallery Sept. 2-28. PHILADELPHIA (June 12, 2012) – For painter Laura Watt, pattern and color are old strategies of knowledge, calling viewers back to the Arabic tiles, Buddhist mandalas, Amish quilts and Scottish tartans of history. From Thursday, June 28 to Friday, Aug. 3, a collection of her work, titled “Depth of Illusion,” will be on display in Saint Joseph’s University Gallery.
PHILADELPHIA (Feb. 15, 2012) - Artist Kip Deeds merges numerous styles and mediums together in order to create one intricate piece of work. A collection of his complex compositions, titled “All Things Great and Small” will be exhibited at Saint Joseph’s University Gallery Monday, Feb. 27 – Friday, March 30.
