SJU Gallery Showcases Senior Work

PHILADELPHIA (April 5, 2013) – Four senior artists will display their work in the 14th annual senior art thesis exhibition at Saint Joseph’s University Gallery, April 12-May 31. The art will be shown on the second floor of Merion Hall on the James J. Maguire ’58 Campus. An opening reception will be held Friday, April 12th 5-9 p.m.
Cedar Sculptures Twist with Life at SJU Gallery

PHILADELPHIA (Oct. 17, 2012) — Rachel Rotenberg’s collection of cedar sculptures featured in “Wood Work,” which will be exhibited Nov. 12-Dec. 10, in Saint Joseph’s University Gallery, seem to breathe and twist with life. The Gallery is located on the second floor of Merion Hall on the James J. Maguire '58 Campus. An artist’s reception will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 6-8 p.m.
"Portraits" Shows the Many Faces of Emotion at SJU Gallery

PHILADELPHIA (September 12, 2012) – If the heart and mind joined forces, how would that moment be reflected on an individual face? Find out at Saint Joseph's University Gallery when photographer Peter Miraglia's "Portraits" premieres. The exhibit will run Oct. 1 thru Nov. 2, but will be closed during fall break, Oct. 15 and 16. An artist's reception is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5, from 6–8 p.m.
A Totem to Compassion: "Kinde" Opens at Boland Hall Gallery

PHILADELPHIA (August 28, 2012) - The creatures that populate Kaitlyn Coppola's ceramic sculptures twist and turn and pile up on one another in an explosion of ambiguity. The fantasy figures in "Kinde," which could be animals in distress, trapped by their partner's limbs, or could be mutants comforted by their intertwined connection, will be exhibited at Saint Joseph's University's Boland Hall Gallery Sept. 2-28. An artist's reception will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6, from 6-8 p.m.
SJU Gallery to Feature Paintings by Meghan Cox

PHILADELPHIA (Aug. 10, 2012) – The work in “Posey,” a collection of paintings by Philadelphia artist Meghan Cox on exhibit at Saint Joseph’s University Gallery, Monday, Aug. 20, thru Friday, Sept. 21, features subjects caught in moments of ambiguous action. The exhibit opens the 2012-13 academic year for the SJU Gallery. An artist’s reception will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6, from 6-8 p.m.
