This program enables students (22 years or older) to take day courses either on a full-time or part-time basis or in combination with evening courses. Bridge students are enrolled as University College students and may choose a major and curriculum outlined in the day or the University College catalog. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for college transfer students or a B average for high school graduates without previous college credits. The Bridge Program does not require entrance examinations or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

Applicants with a high school average of less than 80 or a college cumulative average of 2.5 or less may be accepted to the Arts and Science Opportunity Program or the Business Opportunity Program. Upon successful completion of these courses with grades of C (2.0) or better (or Pass in MAT 1005 and INT 1015), students will be fully admitted and may continue to take courses toward the completion of a degree program. Credits from courses required in the Opportunity Programs will be applied toward the student's degree. Included in the requirements is a one credit, tuition free course, Seminar in Learning Strategies.

Designed for the student who is interested in a degree program and college credit, but at the time of application, does not wish to declare a specific major. For students transferring from another institution, an official credit evaluation will be completed when a specific major is declared.
- Isolated Credit
Designed for the student who desires college credit but does not intend to pursue an academic degree program. Isolated Credit students are required to be fully accepted and should consult the University College Catalog for admission requirements, course offerings, and prerequisites. The Opportunity Program does not apply to isolated credit students. Financial Aid is not available for non-matriculated students seeking isolated credit.
