Implementing Strategic and Operational Change
OVERVIEW:
Effectively implementing change in today's organization requires new skills and knowledge. Leaders and managers must be willing to learn what it takes to create high levels of commitment, cooperation and coordination in order to successfully implement change initiatives.
The Implementing Strategic Change and Operational Goals Workshops consist of 4 full day sessions held over a three month period. The workshops are designed to help you build a solid foundation of knowledge about the critical factors affecting the successful planning and execution of change in your organization. You'll have the opportunity to take the time to reflect on, analyze and integrate tools, concepts and techniques that help you achieve the change you want in your organization.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the Three Critical Roles of management and the behaviors necessary to plan, implement and sustain change initiatives.
- Learn the Nine Leading Change Characteristics so you can plan for and implement a successful change effort in your organization.
- Determine the major barriers to successfully implement change and how to deal with blockages.
- Learn and practice the essential skill sets that help you successfully plan and execute change.
- Understand the relationship between being a leader of change and the levels of innovation, commitment, cooperation and alignment that exist in the organization.
STRUCTURE:
Workshops emphasize practical application of models and methods presented. You will also have the opportunity to learn from participants with diverse backgrounds about how they deal with change. Facilitator encourages immediate application of new knowledge and methods by making connections between models and techniques to business applications.
WORKSHOP I:
While examining major change issues and how management copes with implementing change, participants learn the Three Critical Roles management plays in the successful planning and implementation of change. Facilitated discussions help participants understand how the roles have direct application to change issues. Participants are also introduced to the Nine Leading Change Characteristics.
WORKSHOP II:
Explores in more detail participant's experience in managing and leading change in their organizations. The first four Leading Change Characteristics are thoroughly detailed. Participants learn how to successfully plan change using the four Leading Change Characteristics so plans are executed as they were planned.
WORKSHOP III:
Participants have an opportunity to take an assessment that help them understand how their thinking and behavior impacts the successful planning and implementation of change. Specific skills sets are introduced to breakthrough mental boundaries that hinder innovative thinking. participants practice the skills using powerful conversations for achieving high levels of commitment, action and results. the outcome is learning ways to minimize resistance while increasing the ability to effectively accomplish change goals.
WORKSHOP IV:
Participants learn how the last four Leading Change Characteristics help to mobilize individuals and groups in implementing change. The Three Critical Roles and the Nine Leading Change Characteristics are reviewed with "lessons learned" applied to a change management project. Participants create an action plan so they feel more confident in planning and implementing change in their organization.
