Securities Meeting with Bill Mattioli
Date: February 2, 2008

Shuttle for students after mass on Sundays
• Try to change shuttle time from 11:25 to 11:10 only for Sunday nights

Shuttle is overcrowded in the mornings from Lancaster to campus
• There are already back up vans that follow buses in the morning
between 9am – 11am
• Students always expect to have s ride when they want it. Securities’
job is to make students safe, not act like a taxi service.

Lighting on Campus
• Every summer lights are added to campus
• Last summer lights on 54th Street were added to hang over the
sidewalks and not just the street
• Saint Joes is not allowed to put lights on City Ave
• Lights similar to those put on 54th Street will be added from 63rd
Street to Presidential
• Stay after one night with Bill to walk around campus and see what
parts of campus are poorly lit

Communication with Security for Res. Life
• Security give students hard time when they come back during break
because they have a contract which covers them even over breaks
• Res. Life told security that students are not allowed to come back to
campus over break

Security and Problems with Student Activity Schedules
• Security go through registar to find out where and when activites
will be
• Since the University got the projectors in classrooms there have been
cases of people stealing the projectors
• If there is a period of more than 2 hours that a classroom is not
occupied it will be locked

New parking garage
• Stairs near Larry’s are now an exit only
• Security walk 54th to check on parking garage and new bookstore
• Security have a cart to check on all levels of the parking garage

Meeting Dates
• We will meet with Bill every other Wednesday at 3:00pm in the Hawks
Nest
