The Speaker of the Senate facilitates internal communication between the Administrative and Executive Boards. The speaker is the parliamentarian during the weekly Monday night meetings and facilitates as well as encourages conversation among senate members and guests.
My mission is…
- To be an informative and effective liaison between the Administrative Board and the Executive board while fostering a sense of community amongst the senate. When the senate functions cooperatively and efficiently, we can better serve the student body!
- To create an agenda for weekly meetings and introduce Hot Topics containing pertinent and current issues occurring on campus
- To reach out to the student body and discover ways to further inform the students of how crucial their presence is at meetings.
To be aware of current issues on a macro scale and entertain a motion to keep senate environmentally friendly and GREEN!
